Dr. David Reed

Campbell & Saratoga

Dr. John David Reed, Owner and Lead Veterinarian of Reed Animal Hospital.

Having grown up on a small farm in Illinois, "Dr. Dave" has always loved working with animals. He graduated from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine in 1972 and soon after moved to the San Jose Bay Area, where he has been a vet for over 30 years! He enjoys giving back to the community, through low cost vaccination clinics, speaking at local schools, and working with the Santa Clara County Sheriff K9 Unit. Recently, Dr. Reed was voted one of the Bay Area's Best Veterinarians in Bay Woof Magazine's Beast of the Bay Awards.

Beast of Bay Award Of Reed Animal HospitalDr. Reed enjoys spending time with his family, which include his wife, three children, daughter-in-law, and two awesome grandsons. Not to mention his fur family: two English Bulldogs, Layla and Fenway and a feisty French Bulldog, Lincoln.

Dr. Shari Johnson


Dr. Shari Johnson Staff of Reed Animal Hospital of CampbellOur Medical Director, Dr. Johnson, brings nearly 15 years of veterinary experience to Reed Animal Hospital. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Washington State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2003 and has been working in general practice in the Bay Area ever since. Her professional interests include cases involving internal medicine and surgery of dogs, cats, and rabbits. She especially enjoys connecting with clients on a shared mutual interest - the human-animal bond and the maintenance of health and wellness of their pets.

Originally from Santa Cruz, Dr. Johnson continues to reside in her hometown with her family, which includes her two children, stepson, cats "Mittsy" and "Joey," rabbit "Eeyore," and two guinea pigs, "Marshmallow" and "S'more." She enjoys gardening, hiking, running, swimming, international travel, and spending time with friends and family.

Dr. Lynn Vieyra


Dr. Lynn Vieyra Staff Of Reed Animal Hospital In San JoseOriginally from Hawaii, Dr. Vieyra graduated from the Univeristy of California, Davis Veterinary School. She has been practicing veterinary medicine in the Bay Area for over 25 years, many of those alongside Dr. Reed. Dr. Vieyra takes a special interest in small animal nutrition and natural remedies.

Dr. Mike Armer


DrMikeArmerDr. Mike Armer is a Bay Area native who practically grew up in a zoo: his family had dogs, rabbits, rats, hermit crabs, chickens, parakeets, lovebirds, and an aviary with about 80 canaries and finches!

He received his veterinary degree from UC Davis, where he focused on Small Animal and Avian/Exotics medicine. Dr. Armer recently moved to the south bay from Davis, CA to join Reed Animal Hospital. He brings with him an enthusiasm for preventative medicine, opthalmology and surgery.

When he's not working, Dr. Armer enjoys the outdoors, photography, and spending time with his wife and two young sons. The current menagerie is two cats (Kaylee and Charlie) and a rescued mutt named Toby, with plans to expand when space allows.

Dr. Amy Eberle

Dr. Amy Eberle Staff of Reed Animal Hospital In Campbell

A member of our Reed Animal Hospital team for nearly three years, Dr. Eberle grew up in the Bay Area and graduated from UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine with high honors. Her veterinary interests include geriatric medicine, internal medicine, and surgery. In her free time, you can find Dr. Eberle hiking, running, going to the movies, and most importantly, spending time with friends and family. Her current fur babies include Maddox, her Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever, and her two cats, Osa & Omar. She looks forward to meeting you and your furry family members!

Dr. Arman Behboud

Dr. Arman Behboud Staff Of Reed Animal HospitalDr. Arman Behboud graduated from University of California Davis, where he majored in Genetics. He then traveled to the Caribbean island of St. Kitts to earn his DVM at Ross University (2015). Dr. Behboud enjoys the challenges of orthopedic and soft tissue surgery, and so he attended Sage Centers for Veterinary Specialty and Emergency Care in Campbell to expand his knowledge in these areas. Dr. Behboud is currently completing his certification in veterinary Acupuncture medicine through the Chi institute, allowing him to integrate both western and traditional Eastern medicine for the diagnosis and treatment of his patients.

While not practicing medicine, he enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking, surfing, and biking. He also enjoys traveling to new places and trying local foods. He spends his free time with his family, his rescue dog (an Italian greyhound named Luna), and his two cats, Fern and Nike.
